CERTIFICATION OF VALLEY BUSINESS BANK ALLOWS FOR RAPID LOAN RESPONSE TO LOCAL SMALL BUSINESS CUSTOMERS
FRESNO, Calif., May 10, 2006 -- Small businesses in Fresno, Tulare,
Kings and Kern counties are able to receive a quicker answer on
applications for Small Business Administration (SBA) loans under SBA's
Preferred Lenders Program which delegates Valley Business Bank special
authorization to process SBA Guaranteed Loans. Valley Business Bank a
nine year participant in SBA lending is very involved and committed to
small business financing. Valley Business Bank is a locally owned
financial institution with four branches and one loan production office.
The bank's authorization to participate in SBA's Preferred Lenders
Program (PLP) was announced by Ronald E. Truly, Deputy District Director
of the Fresno SBA District Office. The presentation of the certification
will be made to Valley Business Bank during a special ceremony on May
17th at The Vintage Press in Visalia at 5:30 PM.
Preferred Lenders are SBA's most active and committed lenders and
receive a substantial delegation of authority from SBA. SBA gives PLP
lenders a one-day loan processing turnaround time on their loan
applications. Most of SBA's loans are made under the guaranty loan
program by private sector lenders.
Upon hearing of the certification, Don Gilles, President and CEO of
Valley Business Bank said, "We're very excited to have received the

applications with in-house approvals and rapid loan closings."

MICHAEL RIVERA JOINS VALLEY BUSINESS BANK'S TEAM
VISALIA, Calif., January 30, 2006 -- Don Gilles, President and Chief
Executive Officer of Valley Business Bank announced this week that
Michael Rivera has joined the Bank as Assistant Vice President,
Marketing Director.
“Michael’s knowledge and experience in community banking further
strengthens our marketing team,” said Mr. Gilles. “In addition, his
active involvement in the community serves to strengthen an important
focal point of our business strategy.”
Mr. Rivera participates in the community as a board member of
Pro-Youth/Heart, Tulare County Juvenile Justice and Prevention
Commission, the Rotary Club of Visalia,
The Big Brothers and Sisters of Tulare County and has served on the
Board of Directors of the Tulare Kings Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
Michael was also a participant in the Sequoia Regional Leadership class
